Every Child a Reader (ECaR) is part of the Government’s programme for providing effective intervention for children in Key Stage 1 who need additional help with reading and writing in addition to high quality day to day teaching.

The European Centre for Reading Recovery is located at the Institute of Education, part of the University of London. The Institute runs an MA in Literacy Learning and Literacy Difficulties (professional route) for those wishing to become a teacher leader for the Reading Recovery programme and accredits Reading Recovery teacher qualifications.

The National Reading Recovery Centre is located at The University of Auckland Faculty of Education, Epsom Campus. The Reading Recovery trainers based at the Centre, Christine Boocock, Clare Marshall and Blair Koefoed, provide national and international leadership, training and support for Reading Recovery.
