Managing Every Child a Reader: Building on evidence-based practice (Hull)

One-day professional development session for practising Reading Recovery teachers which will examine how to ensure the Every Child a Reader strategy continues to give schools the best possible outcomes for all children who need support with learning literacy. The day will give Reading Recovery teachers opportunities to:
- Learn more about how to support systematic synthetic phonics in your school, especially for children who are struggling
- Learn how to respond to information from the Year 1 phonics check
- Learn how to achieve school wide impact through strategic management of layered intervention, so that all children can receive the right level of support to ensure swift success
- Learn how to make more efficient use of the Reading Recovery data system, how to ensure data security for your pupils, and how to report the impact of ECaR to all stakeholders
- Learn how to prepare for and support Ofsted inspection under the new framework
- Learn how recent research can inform your practice
- Learn about opportunities to further your career through professional learning including academic study
