Donate/Fundraise
To continue providing bursaries through the Marie Clay Professional Learning Fund we need your help. If you, or someone you care about, have benefited from the work of Marie Clay, please help by donating to or fundraising for the Marie Clay Professional Learning Fund.
Donate
We will use your money to ensure that Reading Recovery teachers or teacher leaders can continue their professional development, so that they can offer children struggling with literacy the best chance of catching up with their classmates.
Want to maximise your donation? If you pay tax in the UK, through Gift Aid the Institute of Education is able to add 25% to the value of your donation. This is because we are an exempt charity and as such can claim back from HM Revenue & Customs the basic tax rate already paid by donors before they make their contribution.
Single gift
You can make this quickly and easily online by debit or credit card (the Marie Clay Professional Learning Fund is listed as 'early literacy'), or by cheque, CAF card or voucher by completing and returning the donation form.
Regular donations
From monthly to annually you can give online by direct debit (the Marie Clay Professional Learning Fund is listed as 'early literacy') or by completing and returning the donation form.
Other ways to give
Payroll giving is a great way of supporting Reading Recovery teachers' work straight from your pay packet. Simply complete the Give As You Earn donor instruction form and return it to The Development Office, The Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, London WC1H 0AL.
Legacies are special gifts from one generation to another. By remembering Reading Recovery in your will, you are providing children who really need your support with hope for their future. As a charity, gifts are exempt from inheritance tax. To request a legacy brochure or to discuss your gift, you can contact Rebecca Smith in confidence.
Fundraise
Reading Recovery teachers, teacher leaders and even parents already take part in regular fundraising events. You can be as imaginative as you like, whether you run a marathon or shave your head, have a curry night or a summer tea party; whatever your fundraising plans the outcome will be the same, your efforts will make a tangible difference to many children needing our support.
The Institute of Education is registered with Just Giving, where you can raise sponsorship online for Reading Recovery. Please contact Rebecca Smith for further information.
Thank you
We'd like to thank everyone who has supported Reading Recovery and the Marie Clay Professional Learning Fund. As a donor you will join other staff, alumni and friends of the Institute of Education in our Donor Roll of Honour, as well as receiving an invite to the IOE's annual Donor reception and regular updates about our charitable projects.
